Garden
The Villa dei Pini garden is considered to be a masterpiece of early twentieth-century landscape design. A precipitously steep and stone-terraced hillside is traversed by a series of intricate winding paths, many of them edged with faux bois fencing. Agaves, aloes, and other semi-tropical succulents are interplanted with Mediterranean flora, while umbrella pine trees, seemingly defying gravity, frame breathtaking views of the Ligurian coastline.
